Sterling is working witha major food manufacturer in managing the implementation process of a production expansion for a new product line. This includes assistance with planning, equipment sourcing, line layout, production ramp-up and management oversight. September 2011 Sterling was awarded an assessment and analysis of the logistics operations for a premier manufacturer, installer and service provider of elevators. August 2011 Sterling completed a broad scope cold chain assessment of distribution and delivery operations for a major U.S. food distributor and its 600 store retail customer. July 2011 Sterling has completed a cold chain and process assessment project for one of the leading fresh cut fruits and vegetables companies.

February 2011 Sterling is working with a 10,000 store food chain in developing a "fast food" strategy in growing their foodservice sales. Currently the foodservice segment represents a low percentage of their current sales. In knowing that foodservice margins can typically represent half or more of store profitability this chain is aggressively working toward a complete sales, marketing, production and merchandising strategy. Sterling will be part of their solution in leading the process. December 2010 Sterling was awarded a project to assist with the implementation of a logistics provider initiative for a nationally recognized confectionary company. September 2010 Sterling has partnered with Emcien and their Pattern Based Analytics application in assisting our customers in new ways of looking at correlation of and between items and how they behave by order, by season, by day and even by hour. Pattern Based Analytics have huge benefits on replenishment strategies, inventory levels and increased sales.
Sterling has completed an inventory optimization pilot assessment for a major U.S. based medical device company with a product line of over 50,000 items. Sterling has also completed a similar project for a building materials company with the ability to improve sales through up-selling products based on seasonality. August 2010

April 2009 Sterling has been awarded an optimization project with a global confectionery manufacturer improving its NA distribution operations. February 2009- Sterling Solutions has completed the process of becoming a registered Government Contractor. March 2008 - May 2009- Sterling Solutions co-chairs the SQF Food Logistics Technical Advisory Committee. Through the food logistics committee and its members, Sterling is structuring guidance for safe quality food practices in the logistics industry. This is done in response to advances in science and technology, the needs of the food industry and to changes in the food regulations. |
